The Royal Canterlot voice is a meme originating from the Friendship is Magic episode "Luna Eclipsed", where Princess Luna—having recently returned from her thousand year banishment—employs "the traditional royal Canterlot voice" by shouting loudly at a group of ponies.

The term is sometimes used within the brony fandom to refer to typing in all caps, creating the impression that one is shouting. This may also be referred to as using canterlock or canterlocking.
